I photograph a small island with an unreasonable amount of wildlife in it: leopards in the dry-zone parks, elephants gathering on the Minneriya tank bed, blue whales in the trench off Mirissa, and birds that live nowhere else on earth.
Prints are made in Colombo on cotton rag, signed, and limited to twenty-five of each size. Digital licences are available for editorial and commercial use, and are delivered the same day.
I started photographing leopards in 2014 with a borrowed 300 mm lens and a driver who knew where they slept. Most of what is on this site comes from returning to the same dozen animals, season after season, until they stopped treating the jeep as an event.
Ten per cent of every sale goes to the Wilderness & Wildlife Conservation Trust's leopard collaring work.
